Question - Church

How should we address the fact that the Church as a whole is miserable, poor, blind, and naked?

The church needs to stop making alliances with the world to mix in ungodly philosophies and plans with God's holy Word (think of Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles and his alliances with Ahab and Ahaziah). We also need to make sure that we are giving God's pure word to people, and not selling the refuse of the wheat, which is not fit for consumption (read Amos chapter 8).
In Revelation 3, Jesus tells the church of Laodicea (literally translated, the Church of People's Opinions) that they are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked, and don't know it. He advises them to buy from Him gold refined by fire so that they may become rich, and white garments so that they may clothe themself, so that the shame of their nakedness would not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint their eyes so that you may see.
Jesus is telling them to return to Him, and stop relying on the philosophies and vain imaginations of men and be fed spiritually from only His Word.
